Prairielands Image 34 is an image from an on-going series of images created by artist, James Huntley. This series of water-based media paintings is of the prairielands of the United States. Many of these images are created on site while traveling the expansive landscape of the United States.
About James Huntley
James Huntley is an artist that specializes in a variety of media, including traditional and digital. Working with mixed media, he has travelled the world and the US. His work is influenced by the places he has seen and people he has met along the way. A sense of longing (strongly referencing the Portugese idea of "fado") dominates the expression that comes through the work. "Journeys can be a seductive process. A travel experience can quickly become an old friend that always beckons for more. A short road trip or a flight across oceans can encourage experimentation.
