Mangrove is a part of the Florida Collection and is a part of an on-going series of images created by artist, James Huntley. This collection of watercolors include the landscape and colorful life of Florida. Many of these paintings are created on-site during trips in the winter, spring and summer while visiting family.
About James Huntley
James Huntley is an artist that specializes in a variety of media, including traditional and digital. Working with mixed media, he has travelled the world and the US. His work is influenced by the places he has seen and people he has met along the way. A sense of longing (strongly referencing the Portugese idea of "fado") dominates the expression that comes through the work. "Journeys can be a seductive process. A travel experience can quickly become an old friend that always beckons for more. A short road trip or a flight across oceans can encourage experimentation.
